The basic information for the P3516A155-1 air compressor oil filter element (commonly known as an oil mist separator or oil separator) is as follows:
1. Function
Installed in the oil-air separator of an oil-injected screw or centrifugal air compressor, it intercepts, condenses, and returns ≥1 µm oil droplets/oil mist in the compressed air to the oil tank, ensuring an outlet oil content ≤3 ppm, meeting ISO 8573-1 Class II requirements, while maintaining lubricating oil circulation balance.
2. Main Operating Parameters
Filtration Accuracy: 3 – 20 µm (commonly around 5 µm)
Working Pressure: 21 bar (2.1 MPa) ~ 210 bar (21 MPa)
Working Temperature: -10 ℃ ~ +100 ℃
Design Life: 1000 – 2000 h (standard operating conditions)
Recommended Replacement Pressure Difference: ≥0.15 MPa
3. Filter Media and Structure
Filter Media: High-quality glass fiber + filter paper composite, multi-layer corrugated structure, large dirt holding capacity, high coalescence efficiency
Sealing Ring: Nitrile rubber (NBR), oil-resistant and high-temperature resistant
Frame: Galvanized steel plate or stainless steel, washable and corrosion-resistant
Conductive pin design to promptly discharge static electricity, avoiding the risk of sparks caused by static electricity buildup in the oil separator core
4. Applicable Models
Widely compatible with screw or centrifugal air compressors such as Fusheng, Elliott, and Caterpillar G-3520B, and can also replace some Atlas Copco and Ingersoll Rand oil separator elements of the same specifications, used in mining, power, petrochemical, and shipbuilding industries.
5. Maintenance and Replacement
Replace immediately when the pressure difference across the oil separator element is ≥0.15 MPa, or when the outlet oil content suddenly increases or oil consumption increases;
Before replacement, the oil-gas separator must be completely depressurized, and the return oil pipe must be inserted into the bottom groove of the filter element to ensure unobstructed oil return;
After installation, check that the conductive pin/washer makes good contact with the oil-gas separator housing to prevent static electricity buildup;
For high-temperature and high-dust environments, it is recommended to check after 1000 hours. The lifespan is approximately 1000–2000 hours.
