 Type: Spin-on Fuel Separator Filter

 Core Functions:

1. Oil-Water Separation: This core function utilizes patented technology to efficiently separate free water and emulsified water from diesel fuel. The separated water settles at the bottom of the filter housing and requires periodic manual draining.

2. Particle Filtration: Built-in filter media removes solid particulate contaminants (such as dust, rust, and microorganisms) from the fuel.

 Design Features: This filter typically incorporates a Turbine® separator (a turbine-shaped swirl disc) to swirl the fuel before it enters the filter media. This centrifugal force pre-separates most of the water and large impurities, significantly improving separation efficiency and filter life.

Key Features and Parameters:

 Filter Fineness: Typically 10 microns. This means it effectively captures particles 10 microns or larger.

 Filter Media: Typically fiberglass or composite paper, with excellent moisture-shedding properties and high dirt-holding capacity.

 Construction:

 Metal end caps and center tube provide a sturdy structure.

 Oil-resistant rubber seal installed on top.

 No electric heater. The standard SO424C does not have a heater.

 Compatible filter assemblies: Primarily compatible with older spin-on filter assemblies in the Racor 200/300/400/500 series. It screws directly onto the filter cover via the center thread.
