Product Features and Functions

 Coalescing function: This is its core function. The special coalescing media (usually glass fiber) inside the filter element captures tiny, suspended water droplets in the fuel and aggregates them into larger droplets.

 Separation function: Due to their different specific gravity from the fuel, the aggregated large droplets settle to the bottom of the filter housing under gravity and are periodically manually drained through the drain valve.

 Filtration function: It also effectively filters out solid contaminants such as dust, rust, and microorganisms from the fuel.

 Filtration fineness: Typically 10 microns. This means it effectively captures particles and water droplets 10 microns or larger. Construction:

 Typically features metal end caps and a center tube for a robust structure.

 Topped with an oil-resistant rubber seal (usually nitrile rubber NBR).

 May be integrated with Turbine® blades (a turbine-shaped cyclone) to swirl the fuel before entering the filter media, utilizing centrifugal force to pre-separate most of the water and large impurities, significantly improving separation efficiency and filter life.

This filter element is the first and most important line of defense in a diesel engine fuel filtration system and is primarily used in:

 Marine: Fuel filters for main engines and generators.

 Generator: Fuel systems for diesel generators.

 Construction Machinery: Fuel systems for excavators, loaders, tractors, and other equipment.

 Heavy Truck: Diesel prefilter.
